Really well done.

This movie has good length and has a lot of drawings that took a while to do, but I think that more could have been done. It started out great, but all of the voices without mouth movement took out a lot. There was some lack of expression of the emotions that you wanted to set across, like when he yelled out in the lobby in the end. Many drawings were disproportionate, but they did have detail and multiple layers of shading, so they weren't all bad. You also could have separated the limbs to add a little more movement, that would have fixed the slide show look it started to get. The story is pretty good, actually. Many say it stunk, but it's actually pretty capable. Overall, good movie, but you could have fixed it up some. Good luck with the sequel.

Some were good, and many weren't.

Some of it rocked, like the second frame-by-frame one, others were just pitiful, but I won't mention which. The Darth Vader one was disgusting, and some of the good ones stopped too soon compared to the rest, but I guess that it's better that the clips were short but good than long but horrible. A lot of it lacked either skill or care towards the graphics, so I felt really disappointed. Enough with my complaining! I wish luck to all of you with your future work.

I liked it.

The style isn't the same thing you'd see in just anything, but it's presented well. I liked the irony of the whole idea of robots having feelings and all. The end was also pretty good, like good movies should be, a really good thing right at the end to leave on. Good job, it was enjoyable.

Oh man, this is mny favorite Star Wars flash!

The humor is still fresh, I love it! The ending is definitely the best part, but the rest still entertained me. Animation-wise, I've noticed improvements, it's looking a lot smoother, so there's another plus. I'm glad you made this, keep it up!

It could have been better.

It was obvious that you traced some of those drawings because the others were very poor. I really can't nag on this, though, because my real first flash was blammed (but only by .06 0r something). When I draw anything that isn't my own, I find one or two images off of Google and use it as a reference. I study how the characters are drawn, and I mimic it. Based on the limitations you have, I would say try to also mimic Sonic Uncut. I believe the artist uses just a mouse and draws everything to come out like that one drawing of Gamma you made. If you can make everything look like that and add more animation to the whole thing, not just panning and sliding around, then you will do really well.

To summarize, draw from a reference, don't trace (more people will like it that way), and animate it more. Tweening more separated limbs or frame-by-frame animation will do fine. Good luck on your next flash.

I liked this a lot more.

The ending was really good, my favorite part, probably. It DOES help to see the original movie to get the full joke of the movie. Good job, keep it up.

Bringing out the best you possibly can...

...that's something to be proud of! There's evidence of a lot of hard work in this movie! The jokes are fresh, too, I overall enjoyed this movie. I also like the trick you did for the preloader. On a final note, I really like how you used specific sprites to express the needed emotions. They aren't a bunch of statues jumping around the screen. The Metroid scene was really funny! Keep it up!

RupeeClock responds:

Thanks! I might just keep this up actually...

Ho, this was great!

This has everything that a perfect flash should have! A good story, lots of humor, hard to achieve graphics, and some actiony parts! Man, and I loved the work put into the sound! All of the effects and music made this feel like a movie in a theater. Being that you said that this actually a scaled down version (unless I'm crazy...) I am assuming that this was originally for fullscreen or something, so those were your intentions. Good job!

Xiphon responds:

Yah, actually there was a lot we took out, or forgot to add. But there's not much we could do, since we hit the frame limit and the file-size was getting rather high. The special feautres (including an audio commentary) are on the way though!

Lol! I haven't even touched a FF game and laughed!

I liked the layered movement, how more than one thing happened at one time, though it was mainly with the damage points, but that didn't matter. I got the joke still, from seeing so many Final Fantasy tributes. BTW, did those numbers actually tie in with the stat bars, or were they just random numbers for humor? (I saw the bars/numbers bouncing all over the place, my head spun). Good job! Keep it up!

matt-likes-swords responds:

Yeah, the numbers tied in, took a bit of effort -_-

I hate when people do this.

You have to have some patience with yourself and submit AFTER you finish a project. If this was put together as a teaser, I wouldn't be mad, but I want to see a whole movie!

Now that I'm done ranting, good luck on finishing it. It has potential... Yes I am weird.

They take me away from the strangest places. Hey man.
