Pretty good

That was pretty good. I like the character design, great for expressions, fluid movement, too, very important for presentation. Great voice acting. Started great, middle was great, was missing a kicker for the finish (always best to end with a high point), but other than that great work. Plenty fun to watch. Not much else to say. Your style is good where it's at, don't try to add more graphics for the sake of better graphics, you'll end up taking away from the humor. Keep at it.

Um, idk

Haven't reviewed in a while, so here goes. Collabs are sometimes limiting because everyone's doing something different, but this just sparked no interest. The graphics were good here and there, but nothing amazing. I kept getting the impression of everyone trying to outdo the other, there was just too much. Something that could have been decent was pushed an inch too far.

The music did not really match the theme of the collab, if you want something to match with death, don't choose bands like SoaD, you need some actually violent music, like Slayer or Pantera or something. If it's a flash about death, anti-political music isn't gonna fit.

The punchline to just about every piece was exploding or something you could predict the moment it starts, so I was bored the entire time. Props to the 26th one, with the teacher, that one was creative. =) Follow his lead. And whoever made the preloader/menu did a pretty nice job.

Altogether, though, this collab missed the mark. Too unorganized and stale. I'm not looking at the effort put in, the score is not an effort rater. A building is not judged by the effort you put in, it's judged by how well it stands. I'm looking at a boring flash that a bunch of people worked on, so it there was a team of people that couldn't make something entertaining. Btw, don't give me any crap that I haven't made anything good, or that I'm not a pro, you're not a pro either, equal grounds. Better luck next time.

Yay

You brought back the head-tearing thing! The heavy graphics were handled a little roughly, so it usually played slowly when the dead guys piled up, but other than that, great job. =D

Lovin' it

I noticed your series has really changed. It used to be a simplistic and comedic shoot-em-up style, now it's gotten into a complex (maybe?) and dark plot with heavy detail on the way it looks. Being as I'm a fan of both those themes, I've really come to love this series, but I did think that a bit of the old is gone for good. You've got that "magic touch" that no one else has yet to mimic in fan flashes, so it's not gone completely. The addition of the giant guy was kinda weird, but it works with the ending. Overall, great flash. Your entire style has really gotten complex, and I hope to see more work from you.

You're an inspiration to us all!

Gotta hand it to ya, this is a great series.

I've enjoyed this series since I found out about it. The high frame rate without being lazy with the animation, I'm very impressed. Incredible sound quality, too. The storyline is also very nice, the detail and stuff in it is great. I really wanna know what's next. The whole thing, in general, is extremely well polished, and I hope it can continue on. If I can scrounge up enough money, I'll get the book. ^^

To anyone complaining about having to buy the book: This guy, for 4 or 5 years, has been making this series for nothing. Nada. I read some reviews about "loyalty to fans" and crap like that. You're getting this much already for free, be happy with what you got, 'cause James Farr deserves every cent he makes with HIS series.

I'm sorry, but this was extremely disappointing

I remember the days when I would be estatic with joy when the Legendary Frog made a new movie. I always got a good chuckle from your movies, but lately I just sit and think, "What happened?!"

Your animation style has hardly improved over time. Animation is art. ART. When someone has no strive to improve in their art, it gets worse as more is made. I noticed this start around when you made One Ring to Rule Them All 3. It's the same old thing. Television does the same thing, but that's 'cause they've made up to a satisfactory level ('cept stuff like South Park, sorry fans of that show). Try experimenting with new styles because that's the only way you're gonna make really good stuff.

The humor is bland. The jokes are stale and overused. Sorry to put it harshly, but the humor sucks. It used to be original jokes, but now it's just the same stuff over and over again. Sure it's funny the first time, and usually the second. Sometimes if you're lucky, the third, but please! In my opinion, it's like the Fairly Odd Parents. They started out great, but now most of their jokes are the same old things over and over. What you should do is try to get out for a while, drop the whole animation thing for a little bit, and live life as much as humanly possible. Then use life experiences to make new material.

Violence isn't a part of most humor, and interactivity could be better, but I have no complaints. It's a movie.

The sound quality is just... blah.

To sum it up, you've run yourself dry and you need to get out and soak up more pretty much. Your loss if you ignore this advice. One less fan.

It spreads retard all over the place ^___________^

I love it. It's my type of humor. I haven't laughed so hard in ages. Way to go! I'm also kinda interested in how you actually made this. It all started out as 3D? hmm... not a bad idea, actually. It keeps everything solid and not morphy like some animation can get. Graphicly, the ONLY thing I can suggest is shading. (I'm obsessed, so what?) The FAQ was also a smart thing to do. I'm gonna follow that example for my future movies. ^^ Not much else to say, you've got a strong sense of humor. Good luck with your next movie! =D

Not too bad, but...

I was a little disappointed with this. Yes, Doom is an awesome game, but it kept changing themes. It started out with a cool fight scene theme, then it changed into a serious and tense theme, but then the humor in it was kinda... awkward. A couple things need to be looked at, but stick with me. When going farther back (the fight scene when he dodged the rockets), a character can't just go upwards, you have to shrink him down too. It shows perspective and without that it looks like he's getting bigger whenever he goes even a step or two back. Next, pace. In the game, when you fight a monster, it's extremely fast and difficult at times. The fight scene here had a slower pace, and I felt that it took away from the movie. Finally, my last complaint was the mood. Make it transition better. It'll help.

Enough of my complaints. I said this wasn't bad, so here are the strong points. You handle the sprites pretty darn well. Editting them and everything. The graphics were at their best when defeating the Cyber Demon. I also like the voice over of the ending text to Eps. 2 throughout the movie. That was a nice surprise. You did add in humor, which DOES give entertainment towards more of the categories of viewers, so I can't say take it out. That'd be dumb.

Whether you take even some of my advice or not, good luck on your next movie. ^^

Thanks for your thorough(sp?) comment. I'll take your advice in consideration when I make my next movie ;)I have to admit that I'm not real good at handeling themes and I just do what I think of before I forget it :P

O_O HOLY CRAP!!!

I don't know what to say. I'm in awe. This is simply amazing. The animation is crazy detailed and smooth. To think some people would be getting up to or past your skills and then to see THIS. Holy crap, I'm impressed.
Hmm... ok I'm done worshipping right now.

As for the actual review, the only thing worth even slightly improving was the shape of Tails' head. I know it's weird, I still can't get it right, but if at all possible, shape that up a little bit more for the actual movie.

Besides that, keep it EXACTLY this quality. If not, better. The song is freakin' awesome, and I just want to scream out curses at the top of my lungs at how good this is. I've been motivated to try to make stuff like this.

Oh yeah, the only other thing that disappointed me was that it was only the trailor, no the whole thing. :P

I vote the common vote, but this deserves it.

Sure the drawing style can be sloppy at times, but the shading is extremely well done and it's still better than I can do. The frame-by-frame in it is very smoothly done as well, but nothing to brag about.

The characters are of a large variety of memorable personalities (if that even made sense), and this makes this series stand out. Blockhead and his conscience are great cliches for a funny flash.

Why the ten? Because it's great humor. The goal of a flash movie is to entertain the viewer. You get a score depending on how well you do that. I've watched this thing over a dozen times already, and it's still great. You know the three things needed for humor: timing, freshness, and presentation. That's the biggest issue. You can ruin an entire joke with just one weird-sounding (but not funny) line, but this has the opposite.

Last thing worth commenting on is the voice acting. You yell when you need to and you've got a wide variety of voices. Instead of seeing talking art, I actually see the characters being characters. Love it.

Also, keep the conscience in there, his reactions make half the jokes as great as they are!

They take me away from the strangest places. Hey man.
